Established in 1982, the Young Designers' Exhibition (YODEX) has grown to become one of the most prominent design fairs in the world, featuring fresh design talent and many works of excellence by graduates from design colleges around the world.

In 2007, YODEX was recognized by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) as the largest show of student-created designs.

About Taiwan Design Center

Taiwan Design Center (TDC) was established in 2003 by the Taiwanese government to promote homegrown design and international exchanges, and to strengthen market competitiveness in the creative industries.

Every year, TDC hosts events such as the Young Designers’ Exhibition (YODEX), Taiwan Design Expo, Designers’ club, and the Taiwan International Design Competition (TIDC). These design events not only elevate the public’s appreciation of aesthetics but have also become an opportunity for local game players to expand their competitive edges.

As international competition gets more heated, TDC is hard at work conducting overseas long- and short term on-the-job training programs in cooperation with prestigious foreign design firms. Such endeavors will help advance industrial transformation, promote products of higher value-added, and reap good overseas sales.
